Overview
More than eight people were killed, and around 23 were injured by Ukrainian shelling in the Russian-controlled Luhansk field of Ukraine, Russia states TASS news agency reported on Friday, commending an unidentified source in the emergency services.
The Ukrainian shelling tore down a building in the village of Lantrativka, where a few people got injured and trapped under the rubble, Tass mentioned.
From Luhank’s depiction of the Joint Centre of Control and Coordination, Russian-backed officials carried out a ceasefire monitoring body to help manage the conflict between Russian-backed protestors and Ukrainian forces after 2014. Later, Ukraine fired three U.S.-made HIMARS rockets at Lantrativka at 04:10 local time (0210 GMT) on Friday morning.
Further, the head of the “people’s militia” (people’s republic), Leonid Pasechnik, reported in Luhansk on his Telegram channel that there were non-combatant casualties as a result of Ukrainian shelling on the town of Svatove (a city in Ukraine) on Friday morning. Moreover, he did not provide any additional details of the attack.
The battlefield reports also couldn’t be immediately verified.
